Former Baby Bok skipper Arno Botha will leave the Blue Bulls at the end of the 2017 Super Rugby season to join Pro12 outfit Ulster, the club have announced. The backrower has inked a two year contract with the Irish province and will look to emulate the success of fellow South African U20 captain CJ Stander, who has made a similar transition from the Bulls to Munster.
However unlike Stander, Botha is not eligible to play for Ireland, having represented the Boks twice in 2013. Four minutes into his second test, he ruptured his knee ligaments (his replacement was Siya Kolisi who got Man of the Match in that fixture)
Botha will join Sharks open side Marcell Coetzee at Ulster.
